Ingredients:
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 small yellow onion - finely chopped
6 tuna steaks, about 6 ounces each and 1/2 inch in thickness
salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons fresh flat leaf (Italian) parsley - chopped
Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper then set aside.
Place flour and wine in a small bowl and whisk together; then set aside.
Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat and add oil. Add onion then garlic and sauté until it begins to color. Push mixture to the sides of the pan and add the tuna steaks. Cook until browned on both sides, turning only once, to desired doneness or about 3 minutes on each side. Add the wine mixture and continue to cook until wine has been absorbed or about 3 minutes.
Sprinkle with parsley, transfer to serving platter and serve.
