
Ingredients:
½ cup coarsely ground rice
4 green cardamom pods - crushed
3¾ cup low-fat milk
6 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon rose water
1 tablespoon pistachio nuts - crushed
Place the ground rice in a saucepan with the cardamoms. Add half the milk and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add the remaining milk and cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until the rice mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
Stir in the sugar and rose water and continue to cook for 2 more minutes. Place in serving bowl and garnish with pistachio nuts.
Serves 4-6
