Blessed with an abundance of food and a diverse terrain, Australia has grown into a culinary paradise. Traditional cooking was influenced by a strong English and Irish population and did not include native foods eaten by the aboriginals. Many first generation Australians migrated often and took their foodstuff with them. In the last quarter century an increase in Asian, Lebanese, Italian, and Greek immigrants has exposed the once quiet Australian cuisine to a literal new world of foods and now it has evolved into a tantalizing cuisine. Also, as a consequence of the migration and modern day transportation, Australia offers no regional differences despite the size of the continent.
